Dear Parents,

As I come to the close of a journey spanning 38 years in education, I find myself looking back with a heart filled with gratitude, pride and a deep sense of fulfilment.

There are moments in life when one pauses—not merely to count the years that have passed, but to reflect upon the lives one has touched, the dreams one has nurtured, and the purpose that has given meaning to the journey.

For me, that purpose has always been my students.

The only true purpose and meaning I have found in my life is to nourish my students with love and care, to provide them with the best possible facilities and opportunities, and to create an environment in which they can learn, grow, discover themselves and realise their potential.

This has been my promise to myself as an educator.

And today, as I look at DMA and at the thousands of young lives that have passed through its gates, I feel a quiet and profound sense of fulfilment that I have been able to honour that promise.

When I began my journey with DMA in 2010, the institution was facing formidable challenges. Over the years, with the support and confidence of the Management, the commitment of my colleagues, and the faith of our parents, we worked tirelessly to transform not only the physical environment of the school but also its vision, aspirations and educational ethos.

Today, I take immense pride in saying that DMA has emerged as a beacon of education, illuminating the educational firmament at both the national and international levels—an institution to reckon with.

Yet, for me, the greatest achievement has never been a building, a facility, an award or a ranking.

It has always been the child.

Every classroom we improved, every facility we created, every new opportunity we brought to the school, and every initiative we undertook had one underlying purpose—to give our children the environment and opportunities they deserved.

You, as parents, entrusted us with something far more precious than anything else—your children, your hopes and your dreams for their future.

I have always regarded that trust as both a privilege and a sacred responsibility.

And I want to thank you for it.

There may have been times when we asked your children to work harder, to stretch themselves, to step beyond their comfort zones, or to embrace new experiences. But I have always believed that education must prepare a child not merely to succeed in examinations, but to succeed in life.

This is the message I have repeatedly shared with my students:

There are no shortcuts in life.

Hard work, perseverance, discipline and integrity are the foundations upon which meaningful success is built.

I have encouraged my students not merely to compete with others, but to compete with the person they were yesterday—to keep working on themselves, strengthen their character, develop their talents, overcome their weaknesses and constantly strive to become the best version of themselves.

Marks and degrees may open doors.

But it is character, competence, resilience and compassion that determine what we do once those doors open.

As they step beyond the familiar world of DMA and enter the larger world, my hope is that our students will not merely become successful individuals.

I want them to become problem-solvers.

May they use their knowledge not only to build successful careers, but also to contribute to making this world a better, kinder and more meaningful place to live in.

And there is one lesson I consider equally important.

As they rise in life, may they never forget where they came from.

May they always return to their roots.

May they remember the sacrifices of their parents.

May they care for them, respect them and stand beside them when they need their children most.

In the pursuit of success, may they never become so busy climbing the ladder that they forget the hands that held it steady for them.

I want every child who passes through DMA to understand that true success is not simply about reaching the top.

It is about reaching the top without losing the values that brought you there.

It is about becoming successful without becoming self-centred.

It is about achieving greatness while remaining grounded.

It is about having the courage to dream for oneself and the generosity to give back to others.

And above all, it is about becoming a human being of whom one's parents, one's school and one's country can be proud.

A Journey That Continues

Although I am stepping away from the responsibilities of the Principal, this is not a farewell to DMA.

My association with the institution and its children will continue.

I will continue to mentor DMA and the other sister institutions as Director Education, and I look forward to remaining closely connected with the school community.

I will continue to watch its journey with interest and affection, to share whatever experience and guidance I can, and, most importantly, to hear about the achievements and milestones of our children.

I want to know when they excel.

I want to know when they discover a new talent.

I want to know when they overcome a challenge.

I want to hear about the universities they enter, the careers they build, the problems they solve and the lives they touch.

Because once a child has been my student, that child remains a part of my journey forever.

So, while my role may change, my interest in the children will not.

My affection for DMA will not.

And my desire to see this institution flourish will certainly not.
