Karma – By Dr. Ritu Dewan
Like a child
I tried to reach out
For the stars
I got some
I lost some
Why then do I have
A feeling of disquiet?
Fate
A clever businessman
Makes a cruel bargain
With one hand he gives
Abundantly
And with the other
He snatches away.
A constant question
Haunts me
Are things ordained?
Can one really carve out
One’s future?
If success is ordained
Then so is tragedy.
Like a candle melts
Tormenting and burning itself
Yet giving light to others
I melt,
Is it destiny,
Wrong Choices
Or
Karma?
