Karma – By Dr. Ritu Dewan
Like a child
I tried to reach out
For the stars
I got some
I lost some
Why then do I have
A feeling of disquiet?
Fate
A clever businessman
Makes a cruel bargain
With one hand he gives
Abundantly
And with the other
He snatches away.
A constant question
Haunts me
Are things ordained?
Can one really carve out
One’s future?
If success is ordained
Then so is tragedy.
Like a candle melts
Tormenting and burning itself
Yet giving light to others
I melt,
Is it destiny,
Wrong Choices
Or
Karma?

Beautiful verse.Speaks reality of life. Our karmas
determine our destiny .When sufferings eclipse
the path of our life, we blame God without realising that it’s only our karma that has led us into that situation.Very well expressed
Gist of life expressed in a simple manner
Being a candle is difficult because one must first burn in order to emit light.
But than only you are worthy that’s karma
